The Redcoat Challenge – British Style Competition (TX)

Little Rocktoberfest is the largest homebrew festival in Arkansas. The event will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock and includes a sampling of commercials beers from local breweries and across the world as well as over 100 homebrews. This year there are two competitions associated with Little Rocktoberfest, a BJCP Certified compeition that starts at 9:30 AM and a People’s Choice Competition will take place during the festival.

The BJCP Competiton will use the 2021 Style Guidelines, will be judged by certified BJCP judges, and is open to beer, mead, and cider. The entry fee is $8 per entry and requires 3 brown glass bottles per entry. You are not required to serve your entries in the BJCP Competition at Little Rocktoberfest, but it is encouraged. Entry into this competition requires you to serve at least one beer, mead, or cider in the Little Rocktoberfest Homebrew Exhibition. Click here to register to serve by August 11, 2022. The People’s Choice Competition will be judged by all Little Rocktoberfest ticketholders, is open to beer and cider, and requires that you bring a minimum of 5 gallons to serve at the festival. 

Anyone who wants to judge the BJCP competition will be paired with a certified BJCP judge if possible. All judges will receive free VIP admission to the Little Rocktoberfest Festival and are invited to serve their beer and take part in the people’s choice awards. The entry deadline for the BJCP Competition is Friday, September 16, 2022. For more information on Little Rocktoberfest visit littlerocktoberfest.com.

The 2021 Arkansas State Fair is back!

The competition will use the 2015 Style Guidelines, will be judged by certified BJCP judges, and is open to beer, mead, and cider. The entry fee is $8 per entry and requires 3 brown glass bottles per entry. judges will receive free tickets to the fair, so after you judge you can enjoy the rides, food, and fun!

Red Earth Brewers 2020 Spring Brew Off

Big Red Ball 2020: Saturday, February 8th at Next Level Events in Little Rock
There are three competitions this year:
Pro-Am: Limited to 2015 BJCP Beer Style Guidlines Categories 1C-D, 10-27, and 29-34. The Pro-Am winner will be brewed to be the official beer of the Little Rock Kickball Association for the 2020 season.
People’s Choice: Open to any style. The winner will receive a cash prize!
Arkansas Rice: The Arkansas Rice Council is partnering this year for the best Rice Beer. The winner will receive a cash prize, and must have AR rice in the grain bill (15-30%). This is also a Pro-Am competition.

Bluebonnet Brew-Off 2020:
