Central Arkansas Fermenters September 2026 at Professor Bowl

  • Call to meeting
  1. Bonz opens
  2. Last month was at Rogue Roundabout with 26 members
  • Social Events Report- Kesha
  1. LRF
    1. Event space has been moved from the Argenta Plaza to the Argenta Green Space
      1. From the plaza, go to the trolley place and its to the right.
      2. More space
      3. Still have Hog Pin, Charity, Games, Food Trucks, and extra space everywhere
      4. Dedicated parking for Commercial/Homebrewers, free parking for attendees
      5. Power can be provided but bring extension cords
        1. Please let Brian know if you need power
        2. Recommend to bring battery operated lights for when it gets dark
      6. Layout of LRF tent locations are provided with guide on which table is which
      7. No flushing toilets, just port-a-potties
      8. Glass is ok as long as you don’t drop them
        1. Be responsible
        2. If break, clean it up
      9. May set up a group message area for equipment help for LRF
    2. Room block at the Wyndham
      1. Tell them you are with LRF
    3. Posters
      1. We have posters advertising LRF
        1. Please take some to post in your town!
      2. Small handouts with info on LRF and style color guide for beers
    4. Charity is Providence Park
      1. Building tiny homes for the chronically homeless at the Pulaski/Saline county line
      2. The more tickets we sell, the more we can give to the charity and help fund the club
    5. Vouchers 
      1. 25$ for the Cracked Grain if you are participating in the LRF
    6. Can group up with others if you are making 1 brew with other people to make 1 table
    7. Volunteers
      1. Please help serve or club members during the event
        1. If interested, find Kesha or Nancy (volunteer coordinator)
      2. The more volunteers, the easier it would be for everyone
      3. Will have volunteers from the charity to help man the event
      4. Let’s help each other pick up at end of the night so everything is picked up
    8. North Little Rock has curfew set at 10:30PM
    9. Voting
      1. No more tokens
      2. Electronic voting 
        1. Laminated poster of QR code and team name per tent
        2. May have one for both Homebrewer and Commercial
    10. Stein hoisting competition
      1. Awards are steins with LRF logo on it
  2. Next meeting is the Thursday before LRF at Professor Bowl
  3. Discord set up for club as another way to communicate events, meetings, and hanging out besides Facebook

  1. State Fair
    1. Past couple of weekends
    2. Sorting went fantastic
    3. All that is left to judge is Mead/Cider BOS
    4. State Fair itself is from OCT 16-25
  2. Rogue Roundabout Czech Pale

  3. No more Pro Ams for the year
  4. May be a club comp in December for Malt Liquor/Old English
  5. Tasting Exam in November 11/21
    1. Got to have proctors (National rank+)
    2. Need more people to sign up or it will be cancelled
      1. Need at least 5 or 6
    3. In order to do it, you have to take the written test and pass it online first
      1. Get a BJCP ID to sign up for the tasting exam
      2. The online test is open book/internet/AI help
